Description:
Join CLEAR – Emotional Trauma and Therapy Specialists – for 3-hour CPD session exploring the lasting impact of childhood abuse and relational trauma on adults (with an emphasis on sexual abuse), and practical ways to support clients in therapy.
This workshop will cover:
- Childhood Abuse & Relational Trauma: Understanding how early relational trauma can affect adult relationships and mental health.

- Transference & Counter-transference: Exploring these dynamics and their significance in therapy.
- Building Resilience: Using Polyvagal Theory and practical exercises from Deb Dana to support clients’ nervous system regulation.
We are delighted to welcome Caroline Eshghi, who will share her lived experience of relational trauma, providing invaluable insights into the client perspective. Caroline was subjected to years of “terror” by her mother during the 1970s and 80s. Now she is campaigning for a change in the law around sentencing guidelines for historical child abuse cases.
Who Should Attend:
Therapists, counsellors, and those in training, seeking a deeper understanding of relational trauma and tools to enhance client support.
