Essex Sexual Health Service Outreach and Education team are part of Provide CIC who work with Essex Partnership University Trust, East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust, Healthy Living Partnership and SH:24 to form Essex Sexual Health Service.
Essex Sexual Health Service Outreach and Education team work on the frontline delivering sexual health promotion in a variety of settings, relationships and sexual health education to young people and educators supporting young people, and offer rapid HIV testing within the community..
STI’s, Contraception & the local sexual health services
This session provides an overview of current STI trends and rates of prevalence in the young population. During the session you will learn more about symptoms, testing, treatment and prevention: with the aim of equipping you to support and signpost the young people you work with in to sexual health services. This session additionally looks at some of the most common preventative methods aimed at reducing the risk of unplanned pregnancies and sexually transmitted infections. We will review available preventative methods including ‘delay’ and also address what support is available for unplanned outcomes.

Available to – This training can be attended by anyone that supports young people within Essex only (unfortunately this training is not able to be accessed by those that support young people in Southend and Thurrock).
