Essex Sexual Health Service Outreach and Education team work on the frontline delivering sexual health promotion in a variety of settings, relationships and sexual health education to young people and educators supporting young people, and offer rapid HIV testing within the community.
Sex, Consent and Confidentiality
Understanding consent and sex is a key factor in enabling young people to be able to have healthy relationships.
‘Sex, Consent & Confidentiality’ is a short session designed to explore consent and sexual activity and factors that can affect a persons capacity to consent. It will explore the importance of enthusiasm in a yes, and look at different ways of saying no, giving you the skills to share with the young people you work with to allow them to better navigate their interactions.
This session will also provide an overview of the boundaries of confidentiality for young people accessing advice and support through sexual health services.
This training can be attended by anyone that supports young people within Essex only (unfortunately this training is not able to be accessed by those that support young people in Southend and Thurrock).
